Why

I had the opportunity to work with Chris Coyer (of CSS Tricks fame) to develop an identity for CodePen. CodePen is a popular online coding playground and community of over 300,000 registered users. It's the perfect place for web designers and developers to showcase their coding skills as the site receives over 14 million monthly visitors. The identity needed to be simple enough to scale down to extremely small sizes but unique enough to be instantly recognizable. And because of it's popularity and reach, it had to be iconic to stand the test of time.
